For Dark Skin Tones

There are certain make-up trends and products that I immediately file under the not-for-me folder. Glitter is one example, I don’t do sparkles. Neon is next followed closely by pastels.  A pastel trouser suit however I would definitely wear, sorbet shades of cornflower blues and pistachio greens look dreamy on dark skin it just gets a little tricky when trying to apply them to the face as these sugary colours tend to translate to a disappointing ashy hue on deeper skin tones.

The key to avoiding chalkiness says make-up artist Kristina Ralph Andrews is to “stick to cream textures with strong pigments”.  And thanks to new technologies and innovations brands have made huge improvements with their  formulations of pastel products making them more suitable for all skin-tones.
