Beauty Is Back!
11 Of Our Favourite Beauty Spots To Book With Now
As much as we’ve all loved undertaking self-care routines and beauty grooming at home it’s safe to say that we all breathed (at least we did) a sigh of relief when the government announced the date for salons to re-open. Let’s face it, the at-home face mask isn’t giving you the same level of glow that you get after visiting your favourite facialist and no matter how patient you are the DIY mani pedi never quite has that perfect-salon-finish and as for hair care, well, spending 2 to 3 hours washing and treating your hair can take the luxury out of self-care Sunday.
Apart from the desire to sit in a beauty professionals chair and feel their trained hands working through our neglected locs or overgrown brows we are looking forward to re-entering the spaces that these professionals create for us. A sanctuary away from the outside world for an hour or so, a therapeutic chat with your stylist or beautician and the great conversation and sense of community that you get from being surrounded by the other clients. Not to mention how amazing we always feel after leaving the salon even if it was just for a quick wash and blow dry.
The beauty industry has been hit hard by the pandemic and it is estimated that approximately 5000 salons have been forced to close permanently due to the lockdowns and with COVID restrictions likely to still have an impact on capacity now is the time to support beauty pros and your local beauty business. Whether you’re desperate to try out a new nail art trend or in need of a complete beauty overhaul here are a few of our favourite beauty spots to visit.
